Establishment of Bilkent University
Bilkent University was founded in Ankara, Turkey, in 1984, thanks to the efforts of its founder, Ihsan Dogramaci. Dogramaci is considered the first to propose the establishment of a Turkish Higher Education Council and was the first chairman of the council.
He played a major role in the development and progress of society, as he established five educational institutions and many hospitals in Turkey, and among those institutions was Bilkent University.
