Atilim University was founded in 1997 in Ankara, Turkey by Atilim Foundation, with the aim of providing a unique and advanced education system and providing distinguished solutions for achieving sustainable development in society. Since then, the university has developed to become a leader in the field of education and providing scientific solutions in various fields.
Atilim University consists of 7 faculties, including the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Faculty of Arts and Letters, as well as a vocational school, a professional aviation school, and 3 graduate schools. The university’s teaching staff includes 540 highly qualified and experienced academic staff. The university has a student body of more than 10,000 students, and has graduated approximately 14,800 students since its establishment. The university provides a practical, research-based learning environment with 183 laboratories equipped with the latest research technology and equipment. The university also has 67 different student clubs and associations that organize various recreational and educational events and activities.
Atilim University is distinguished by its reliance on English and Turkish languages in the teaching process, in addition to providing opportunities to learn additional foreign languages such as Japanese, Russian, German, French and Spanish for its students. The university also has one of the largest libraries in Ankara, the “Kadriye Zaim” Library, which provides a calm and comfortable environment for students interested in reading and research. It is the first university in Turkey to provide video educational lectures using GreenBox technology through the “Content Development” studio. The university also participates in the Erasmus International Student Exchange Program, and contracts with more than 70 universities in different countries of the world. To help students find a safe and comfortable accommodation, Atilim University has contracted with many student residences close to the campus.
